RULAMAN  The base product RULAMAN is an  Integrated Modernisation Environment.  RULAMAN contains all of the services  and functions required for automated  software transformation. This includes Language Packs with   • parsers for each language • exporters for language output • syntactical language description Furthermore  • the SPL-Compiler (see: SPL)  • integrated file handler  • configuration files • a source code repository • and much more...  RULAMAN is the powerful generalised  platform for language processing.  Go to “standard products”  SPL - Source Code Processing Language All of the conversion products are  implemented as rule sets written in SPL.  This is a domain specific language.  Thanks to RULAMAN and SPL it is  possible to create any converter in a  very short amount of time.  SPL works along a trigger-concept:  certain rules are only activated if specific  situations in the source code are  present. It contains procedural functions,  global and local variables, service  routines and processes. The grammar of SPL is adaptive, i.e. it  adapts to the actual input/output  language environment.  Rules and rule sets are combined to a  Modernisation Factory by means of SPL.  Go to “special products”.  RULAMAN and SPL RULAMAN® results from many years of practice in automated software transformation. It is the platform for all of the transformation processes. RULAMAN contains its own compiler for our proprietary transformation language SPL. All our software transformation products are written in SPL. The converters use RULAMAN for execution. RULAMAN runs on any JVM. Several converters are combined to so-called Modernisation Factories .
