The Factory Approach After thorough analysis of the application to be  modernised a customer-specific factory is created. It consists of existing or  specially developed converters   which are combined via SPL scripting to one integrated  operation flow. Our customer delivers appropriate test data which we  are connecting to so-called test beds. Test beds are  used to test the components of the factory. Each factory handles standard situations as well as  exceptions completely with rules. Once it is decided to  apply the factory no more manual work or intervention is  necessary. Hence application development is not restricted at all: as  soon as our customer wishes, all programs and data in  the then-current state are processed in one shot by the  factory . Transformation takes typically a few hours only. The time required to create a factory depends of course  on the  particular problem to be solved.  Go on to “How to create a factory”.  The Modernisation Factory The methodology of using Modernisation Factories is a fundamental part of our unique solution: Rather than trying to sell numerous hard-working people to migrate source code, to port data and to perform testing, we are using our expertise and the technological advantages of a fully automated “factory”, converting all the entities and data at any time within hours. The usual manual or semi-automated approach takes you weeks if not months to achieve that. The factory approach is superior to any manual or semi-manual procedure.  An engine - though complex it might be - delivers constant quality; fatigue, careless mistakes and  frustration are precluded. There is no need for a code freeze.   Source code and many other components can be changed until the very last minute.   The modernised application can be rolled out as often as desired. This is especially useful if the  modernisation implies a change of paradigm like exchanging the operating system or introducing a  new database or framework. Contact  Jobs © IT Modernisation UG Legal
